In 2011 BCSTH received funding from Status of Women Canada for a two year Blueprint Project. Without the replication of existing services, our goal has been to develop a model for service that supports the needs of women leaving transition housing programs. With input from an advisory committee, we developed a service delivery model to provide continuous, comprehensive support for women leaving violence. The project, which included women with recent lived experience in the development process, was piloted in two sites in Creston and Penticton, and completed on November 30, 2012. An independent evaluator will complete the final report by March 31, 2013.
