2012 24 Hour Census Report

A report released by BC Society of Transition Houses (BCSTH) May 14, 2013 based on data collected from the 24 Hour Census shows that only 64.6% per cent of women, youth and children from BC who attempted to get help from programs for violence against women were able to be helped. Legal Education Workshops for Anti-Violence Workers

With funding from the Law Foundation of British Columbia, BCSTH, and Pivot’s Jane Doe Legal Network will be hosting a webinar series of 90-minute legal education sessions.

Each session will be facilitated by a practicing lawyer with experience working with women who have experienced violence. If you are a legal advocate, transition house worker, child and youth worker, or anyone else who works directly with women who have experienced violence, and if you want to know more about the law as it relates to your work, then these workshops are for you!
